Definition
A declaration by the player who is first to act before a community card is dealt, declaring a check regardless of the outcome of the community cards. The advantage of checking in the dark is to negate the positional disadvantage by not revealing information by acting first The disadvatnage is that it negates the player option to bet if other players check behind. This option is not available at online poker room
Example
I called his raise from late position with pocket 6\'s and checked in the dark
