Definition
A term coined by David Skalnsky in his book Theory of poker. The Gap concept basically means that you need a better hand to call a raise than the hand you need to open raise with. The difference between the hand range for raising and the hand range to call raises is the gap
Example
Is AJ in the CO a good hand ? It is a good hand to open raise with but a bad hand to call a raise with
