Definition
An amount taken from every pot by the institution hosting the poker game. Most poker hosts do not take any rake is a flop is not seen. The standard rake online is around 5% up to $3 for no-limit and up to $5 for limit.
Example
It is tough to make any money at this card room with such a high rake!
