Definition

A reload bonus is a bonus offered by a poker site that will match or partially match any deposit you make. Typically these have clear rates that are measured in raked hands/$bonus or something similar. Often there is a time limit imposed to meet these clearance requirements. It is worth looking at the details of reload bonuses before depositing to make sure you will be able to meet the bonus clearing requirements.

Example

I got a reload bonus 50% up to $500! It clears at 10x raked hands and expires after 60 days. I'll deposit $1000 and then I have two months to play 500x10 = 5000 raked hands to get my free $500. Happy days!
