Definition
Stake can mean the buy-in level that you are playing at. It can also be used to mean that you are sponsoring another player.
Example
Ex. for buy-in level. Player X plays at the micro-stakes. Ex. for \"sponsoring\" another player - I\'m going to stake Player Y so he can play in the Main Event.
