Nearly 1500 entrants registered for the $322 Super Turbo FTOPS XVII Event 6. Although the Super Turbo pace isn’t quite Rush Poker, players start with only 300 chips and must be aggressive early. Each player, including Full Tilt Pros, were vying for a piece of the $440,000 prizepool.

5 Red Pros made the money in FTOPS Event 6. Robert Romanello bested all the pros with his 22nd place finish. 2001 WSOP Main Event Champion Carlos Mortensen finished in 73rd. Kelly Kim, who made the 2008 Main Event final table, finished in 88th position. Annette Obrestad, who recently signed with Full Tilt Poker, was out early finishing in 1212th place. Obrestad is a tournament phenom and we are sure her first Gold Jersey is right around the corner.

In the end, GeoffRas22 claimed ultimate victory in Event 6. He pocketed over $90,000 for his impressive performance. His near six-figure-score surpassed his 3rd place finish in a previous FTOPS. First place must have been sweet redemption for coming up short last year. Congrats GeoffRas22! Runner-up was OMGitsGees, who hails from Sweden. His $60,000 winnings sure cushioned the stinging blow of defeat. Rounding out the top 3 was tournament grinder dragon350z. He was slayed, but can enjoy $40,000 as a sort of consolation.

Congratulations to all players who cashed and be sure to check out FTR as we continue our exclusive FTOPS XVII coverage!
