Warner Brothers Digital Distribution has signed a deal with 888 Holdings, which will lead to the development of some popularly branded games. Specifically, 888 will now be charged with the creation of slots and other pastimes involving Warner’s “Clash of the Titans” and “Nightmare on Elm Street” franchises.

“This exciting deal marks another milestone for 888 in our pursuit of gaming excellence,” said Yaniv Sherman, 888’s Business Development and Sales VP. “We are thrilled to be working with one of the world’s most renowned entertainment companies and will be developing and deploying the new games this year and next.”

This is just the latest example of 888 doing business with an American company. Since last year, the Gibraltar-based corporation has been involved with Caesar’s Interactive Entertainment, providing them with websites for their World Series of Poker and Harrah’s Interactive franchises. The state of Nevada officially approved this union in April, just weeks before the events of Black Friday. But, since the websites in question were not aimed at American players, they suffered no repercussions from the crackdown.

Because of this familiarity (and legal cleanliness), 888 is considered by many to be among the favorites to land one of the first American online poker licenses. If the government eventually approves poker regulation, look for them to leap into the fray immediately.

Warner Brothers, for their part, has made several similar deals in the past. Among their other collaborators are CryptoLogic and Microgaming, two of the biggest online gaming providers in the world. 888, for their part, offers services to 176 nations across the globe, with 22 different languages supported.
