Full Tilt Poker’s FTOPS XX introduced an event yesterday for players who like to live life in the very, very fast lane.  This Tournament was a $515+20 Super Turbo KO Event (300 chips to start), meaning that the action would be absolutely fast and furious.  It was so fast, in fact, that it was actually over in the almost mind-numbing time of 1 Hour and 44 minutes.  That’s right, it took just a shade under 2 hours for “as666666lan” to vanquish this field, collect about 25 Knockouts along the way, and rake in the first place prize of $43,100.

There were a handful of red pros in this event, but none cashed and really no one even came close.  It is difficult to take much from that, except to say that if you put a whole bunch of fighter planes into a very small hangar and ask them to take off, some are going to crash.  In other words, this event did not allow for huge amounts of strategy and tact, so it’s no knock on the pros that they weren’t able to outplay the field.  The top finishing red pros, however, were Mike McDonald (95th), and Eunjong Byun (80th).  With the tournament paying the top 46 finishers, both competitors finished just slightly outside of the money.

Once the Final Table was seated, it was clear that this event was not going to take very long to come to an end.  The average stacks were pretty shallow at this point (not that there were enough chips in play to make them deep), and there were players heading out the door on almost every orbit.  As666666lan continued to play with aggression and fearlessness, and his persistence was rewarded when he took home the title, the gold avatar, and the $43,100.

Congratulations to everyone who participated and cashed in this event!  Final table results can be found below:
