Bally Technologies Limited (Gibraltar), a subsidiary of Bally Technologies Incorporated (Las Vegas), has applied to the Alderney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC) for a Foreign Gambling Associate Certificate. Their application was submitted on May 11, with a 14 day window given to concerned parties to object to the application. According to the AGCC, a Foreign Gambling Associate “is an entity…to whom a Category 1 eGambling licensee transfers customers, or allows them to be transferred, for the purpose of that entity effecting gambling transactions with the customer or arranging for those customers to gamble with others.”

With the news of Bally Technologies Incorporated’s acquisition of an e-gaming platform from Chiligaming in February, it is likely that Bally is making its move into the lucrative Internet casino market. The combination of Chiligaming’s comprehensive software and Bally’s ubiquitous exposure and history of innovation suggests a formidable new player in the Internet gaming business. Bally has made several more moves in preparation for their entry into online gambling, include the recent launch of their Remote Gaming Server (RGS) for online gaming content and their 2011 purchase of MacroView Labs, the casino industry leader in custom mobile software.

Bally Technologies Incorporated is a world leader in gaming machines and technology. Founded in 1932, the company remains the oldest manufacturer of slot machines in the world. They create, sell and distribute gaming machines and software to over 600 locations worldwide.
