Another great weekend at PokerStars and Full Tilt as the Sunday majors see significant increases in players and thus in prize pools.
As usual the weekend kicked off with the Sunday Warm-Up with a three-way deal being struck. Poland’s “BitterAce12” was on the short stack and received $72,196.85 for his efforts. After the deal was done he was the first one knocked out. “smurfen22” from Norway and “OverTheTop43” from Germany had many more chips to work with, but eventually it was “smurfen22” who came out on top receiving $92,821.80 from the deal, while “OverTheTop43” received $85,600.85.
Very rarely do you see a Sunday Million final table that doesn’t involve any sort of deal, after all, player are playing for life changing money! However, this was one of those weekends as “danycou” from Argentina took the final table by storm, declining all deals and eventually beating “claffit01” from Sweden heads – up. “claffit01” received $159,881.98 for his second place finish while “danycou” won $217,294.70!
The weekend at PokerStars ended with “Ballertimes” from Finland scoring an outright victory in the Sunday 500. “Ballertimes” defeated “nofingclue11” from Mexico without making any deal and got $69,480.00, while “nofingclue11” got $50,180.00 for his second place finish!
At Full Tilt Poker action was also pretty good. The Super-Sized Sunday attracted a decent crowd for the $635 buy – in and eventually it was two well – known pro’s, “Beyond_Godl1ke” from Belarus and “chaz_man_chaz” from the UK who went head to head for $34,632.00. Eventually “Beyond_Godl1ke” came out on top and “chaz_man_chaz” had to settle for second place and $21,978.00.
The $250K Guarantee saw the last three players being a little more cautious by striking a deal. “Desmoplakin” from the Czech Republic was in last chip position and received $36,873.54. “Snusarn1” from Sweden was not far ahead and got $38,962.63, while the chip leader “Urbanlights” from Canada got $45,630.23 and eventually managed to close out the tournament with a win!
And the last one was the one and only Sunday Brawl which saw one of the best online tournament players score another win. Chris “MoormanI” Moorman has over $10M in online cashes and this time he added another $48,760.00 to that number by defeating “ZealoT_uK” heads – up! For his second place finish “ZealoT_uK” received $32,474.16
