Bodog is hosting their own series, but much more affordable than the WSOP. However, just because it is called the Mini Series of Poker doesn’t mean the prizes will be small. By participating in the MSOP, you could earn yourself a $12,000 WSOP 2009 package and even a spot on Team Bodog!
The Bodog Mini-SOP had already started on Friday May 30th and will run until Thursday July 3rd. During this time, a series of 25 tournaments will be played with buy-ins ranging from $11 – $109. The top 30% of the field in each of these tournaments will earn points, and the more points you collect the higher you will sit on the leardboard. If you find yourself in at least the top 100, you could be playing for one of 3 WSOP 2009 seats.
The players who finish in 5th – 100th will qualify for the semifinal on Tuesday July 8th. If you finish in the top 18, you will earn your seat at the Bodog Mini-SOP Final on Thursday July 10th. Along with the top 18 from the semifinal, 5 random wild card players will be chosen, and 1st – 4th from the leaderboard will qualify. Once you make it this far, it is now an all out war because the top 3 will win $12,000 WSOP 2009 Main Event Packages – and even a chance to make Team Bodog!
