Bodog Poker Open III to feature three tiers of online poker tournaments and more than $280,000 in prize money.

Online poker’s best new tournament series is back for its third installment, and it’s better than ever. The 26-event Bodog Poker Open III (BPOIII) kicks off Sunday, April 26, and ends with the Championship Series Main Event on Sunday, May 3. Making the competition thrice as nice for online poker players are three different tournament series to choose from—money added, guaranteed and bounty—and more than $280,000 in prize money, including $75,000 in added cash from Bodog.

“The Bodog Poker Open has quickly become online pokers most talked about series as top pros and amateurs alike battle for the ultimate bragging rights and serious prize money,” said Bodog Poker Pro David Williams. “Bodog Poker has once again stepped up in a big way to sweeten the pot and make things interesting for everyone, and I’m ready to gun for the series’ coveted crown and take on all comers looking to knock me out of any of the bounty events.”

Featuring varying levels of buy-ins to accommodate every type of poker player, the BPOIII will run three concurrent series: the Championship Tournament Series, Mid-Stakes Tournament Series and Mini-Bounty Tournament Series.

For the higher-limit online poker player, the BPOIII Championship Tournament Series is where the action will be as players compete in a series of 10 events with buy-ins ranging from $50+$5 (with rebuys) to $470+$30. Bodog is juicing the prize pools of all events, with the first nine events receiving an extra $5,000 from Bodog, and for the Championship Series Main Event on Sunday, May 3, Bodog is adding an incredible $30,000 in prize money, bringing the total of added money over the course of the series to a whopping $75,000.

While the buy-ins won’t be quite as high, the action won’t be any less intense in the BPOIII Mid-Stakes Tournament Series, which features $140,000 in guaranteed prize money spread out over eight events. This series gets underway on Sunday, April 26 with the $100+$9 buy-in Kickoff Tournament and culminates on Sunday, May 3 with the $150+$13 buy-in Mid-Main Event, where players compete for a guaranteed prize pool of $30,000. The six events in between feature buy-ins ranging from $20+$2 (with rebuys) to $69+$6.

Finally, for those who prefer the lower limits but crave the action and excitement of playing the higher-limits, there is the BPOIII Mini-Bounty Tournament Series. Featuring $65,000 in guaranteed prize money over eight events, the Mini-Bounty series has all the feel of a major online poker tournament as entrants compete against some of Bodog’s best online poker players, including: Bodog Poker Pros Evelyn Ng, Jean-Robert Bellande, David Williams and Justin Bonomo – as well as past Bodog Poker Open II winners, 12 Days of Poker winners, Monthly TLB winners, Top 10 TLB Yearly winners, Mini-SOP winners, and Bodog Flight Club winners. By knocking out any one of these Bounty Players, participants win a seat into the Mini-Main Event on Sunday, May 3.

Daily qualifiers for all levels of the Bodog Poker Open III are already underway in the Bodog Poker room, giving players the chance to get the most value out of their money by winning seats to events for pennies on the dollar.
