Monday of this week saw two tournaments take place as part of the Bodog Poker Open V. While Monday generally means a downturn in the participation of events like the week-long BPO, the popularity of Bodog Poker’s biggest annual event meant that a larger-than-expected crowd hit the tables on the second day of festivities. Players competed fast and furious for their share of the prize pool and win a seat in the Bodog Poker Open V main event, held this coming Sunday.

The first of the poker tournaments was the Championship Series Event #3, a $150+$12 No Limit Hold’em Tournament that featured an additional $5,000 added to the prize pool by the online poker room. The rest of the final table received seats at the Contender Series Main Event, a $15,000 guaranteed tournament that wraps up the smaller-stakes series. Bodog poker player “Charles Clubb” won first place and $1,500; “UFPoker Star” took second and $1,000 while “Matika” rounded out the top three finishers with a tidy $595.01 added to their tournament winnings at the online poker site.  The rest of the final table for Contender Series Event #2 played out as follows: hAnK781 ($400.00); Aad0906 ($325.00); lion132 ($250.00); Acpittboss ($175.01); iamurdaddy475 ($130.00) and ProCrapsPlayer ($85.01.)
