Earlier this week, bet365 announced their release of a mobile betting application. Now online gambling giant and the largest publicly listed online gambling company, Bwin Interactive Entertainment AG, has announced the release of a live sports-betting iPhone application.

Bwin has announced that its new service, which is called Bwin Live, is available through the iTunes store to bettors in the United Kingdom and in Austria. The company has also stated that more countries will follow soon. Bwin also plans to create a version for Android users later this year.

“‘Thanks to bwin live, bwin customers now get to place bets on their iPhone using an intuitive user interface, check on the status of the bets they have placed, and retrieve a detailed list of their bets,” says Berthold Kao, head of Product Management RNG & Mobile at bwin.

“With the new web applications for the popular smartphone platforms Android and iOS, we want to give the growing number of Bwin.com customers with smartphones the option of making optimal mobile use of the Bwin product range as well.”

To go along with this release, Bwin launched a blackjack web application for both iPhone and Android users. Both new releases will complement Bwin’s already released poker room and casino apps.
