Just in time for the holidays, bwin has brought back their popular Nations Cup promotion. From today until December 21, players from all nations will join together to compete in a show of national pride, poker prowess, and stamina. At stake is a prize pool of $50,000, put up by the masterminds at bwin.

Here’s how things will work, according to a company press release. “Participants,” they say, “have to challenge their countrymen and top their National Leaderboard by earning points in regular scheduled tournaments with buy-ins ranging from $1 to $22.”

The company will be keeping an active leaderboard, from which the top seven winners will be recognized. bwin will then add together the scores of each participating country. The $50,000 prize pool will be divided up based upon how well each nation scores, and players will be awarded with a corresponding prize depending upon their nationality.

With such a wide range of buy-in’s, it’s clear that bwin has crafted the Nations Cup with a broad audience in mind. “Since only the top 7 results count every week,” they say, “there is no need to take part in a massive amount of tournaments but, of course, the more you take part in, the better your chances of getting 7 good results in the hunt.”

In order to compete in this promotion, players will need to log into the bwin software and search under the “Scheduled Tournaments” area. From here, the going is simple. Any tournament which fits the aforementioned buy-in stakes will generate points for its participants, propelling them nearer to the top of the leaderboard.
