Danny Steinberg WSOPE

Danny Steinberg at WSOPE Main Event

As written by Mark in a previous article, FTR’s very own Danny Steinberg (forum name IowaSkinsFan) has had quite the showing thus far at the WSOPE Main Event. It was last reported that Steinberg was in 12th place with 69 runners left, but with some luck and skill, he is now sitting in 5th place with just 10 players remaining. Here are the official chip counts as the final table begins:

1 Ronald Lee – 1,864,000
2 Dan Fleyshman – 1,667,000
3 James Bord – 1,540,000
4 Roland de Wolfe – 1,138,000
5 Daniel Steinberg – 1,110,000
6 Fabrizio Baldassari – 1,076,000
7 Nicolas Levi – 693,000
8 David Peters – 596,000
9 Brian Powell – 440,000
10 Marc Inizan – 274,000

It isn’t an official WSOP final table until it is down to 9 players, but they have put the remaining 10 on one table. The payouts start increasing here from £69,754 for 9th and all the way up to a massive £830,401 prize for first. We’re hoping Steinberg can clinch a bracelet and the over $1 million first place money!

Daniel Steinberg is one of the top online pros, crushing the games on PokerStars under the name heybude and Mirttnur on Full Tilt Poker. He and his twin brother, Max Steinberg, run a popular poker blog where they talk about their poker life, and whatever else comes to mind. You can check it out at Suited-Aces.com. After the WSOPE Main Event is over, regardless of how Steinberg finishes, you can be sure he will write about it on his blog.

Everyone at FTR wishes Dan Steinberg the best of luck! You can follow his rail thread in the FTR commune, by clicking here.
