Event 21 of FTOPS XVII featured the fastest tournament of the series: a $207+$9 NL Hold’em Rush Super Turbo. Starting stacks were only 300 which guaranteed a tournament full of mostly pushing and folding, and 1,782 people entered hoping to score a quick win. First place ended up offering $75,988.04.

To say that things went Dk4884’s way is an understatement. He started the final table with the chip lead and then went on to bust every remaining player until he was the last one standing. It all started when he called a min raise in the big blind with QJs. His opponent in the hand, P-HALT100, had TT and made a continuation bet on a safe 954 flop, and Dk4884 elected to bluff all-in with his two over cards. P-HALT100 made a good call, but the community cards did not cooperate. The turn was clean but the river brought a Jack, and the 6-outer meant that P-HALT100 was out in 9th place for just $4,426.49

Dk4884 continued his domination as we pick up the action 7-handed. With the blinds rising quickly and chip stacks shallowing, the remaining players had to make some moves. KKHoldem elected to shove his last 4bb UTG with Q9o, but unfortunately for him Dk4884 had KK and made the call. E Tyme found himself unlucky too; he also had around 4bb, and he got his chips in the middle with AQs.  There would be no sweat for Dk4884 in this 3-way pot as a King hit the flop right away, and both KKHoldem and E Tyme hit the rail.

A classic race situation turned out to be the biggest pot of the night when the table was down to its last 3 players. With just 6bb remaining and on the button, akia was excited to see that he got dealt JJ. He pushed and Dk4884 made the call, equally pleased to hold AKo. Akia probably wasn’t pleased to see the flop come down 234 as it gave his opponent some extra outs, but he was even more disappointed when the river came an Ace to seal his fate. He ended up in 3rd place for $37,256.27, not bad for less than two hours of work.

As expected, heads-up play between bruc-lee and the chip leader did not last very long. Bruc-lee made his last push with T7o, but he was in bad shape when Dk4884 called with KQo. Once again, not much of a sweat for Dk4884; the flop came KK6 and bruc-lee needed to go runner runner in order to stick around. This did not happen, and bruc-lee busted in 2nd place for a healthy $50,166.86.

Congratulations to Dk4884 for winning a whopping $76k in under 2 hours! It’s a safe bet to say that for the rest of his poker career, he probably won’t do better than tonight’s hourly rate.

There were a few other notable cashes in this event. WHENTHUGSCRY, a professional player that has cashed for over $1.5 million online, bubbled the final table for $2,950.99.
