Back in late 2007, Titan Poker concocted the European Championship of Online Poker (ECOOP), a series of high stakes online tournaments designed to bring together Europe’s top poker talent on one exciting stage. Since that first incarnation the event has grown and grown, building towards the ECOOP IV – which began on May 25th.

The two week series will host one tournament a day, each with a sizable amount of guaranteed cash included. In total, $4,500,000 will be up for grabs over 14 events. Things got under way yesterday with a $200 + $15 No Limit Hold ‘em tournament, with $250,000 in guaranteed money.

When glancing at the schedule a few of the more exciting tournaments draw the eye. A $2,500 + $100 event on June 1st boasts the biggest buy-in of the series, and offers up $500,000 worth of guaranteed prizes. Sure to generate plenty of action is the $100 + $9 NLHE Rebuy event on 5th June. With $300,000 in guaranteed cash on offer you can be sure that more than a few competitors will feel the need to reload. Players looking for a break from the No Limit Hold ‘em overload will be happy to hear that a few Omaha and Stud tournaments are also set to make an appearance in this latest ECOOP.

Crowning the ECOOP IV is the all-important main event, a $1,500 + $80 Hold ‘em tournament with a huge $1,500,000 guaranteed. The tournament begins on 7th June, with the winner staking his claims as Europe’s finest NLHE player. Once the money has been collected, the collective ECOOPs will have awarded over $14,000,000 in prizes. Satellites to main event, and many of the other events, are available on Titan Poker.
