Full Tilt Online Poker Series XVIII has been winding down, but that did not stop Event #27 from getting lots of action! 1,122 players ponied up $515+20 to compete in this Super Turbo, Knockout, No Limit Hold’em tournament. The Super Turbo format has players start with just 300 chips, with blinds starting at 15/30 and escalating every five minutes, so there was plenty of action and the chips were flying, especially since every knockout had a $115 bounty!

The event was hosted by Full Tilt Red Pro Keith Sexton. Sexton, who has lived in Las Vegas for the last 12 years, has multiple World Series of Poker final table appearances, $500,000 in live tournament earnings and is considered one of the best 7-Card Stud players in the world! He also has two sons who also play poker. One of his sons, Paul Sexton, placed fifth in last year’s $2,000 NLHE WSOP event. Mr. Sexton had a good showing in his own tournament, despite the crazy structure, finishing in 64th place. This earned him $897.60.

A few other notable Red Pros competed in this event, including David Pham, Brandon Adams, Barny Boatman, Andrew Feldman to name a few. The pros did not have a good showing, though, as the only other pro besides Sexton to finish in the money was Jonathan Karamalikis (JonoKaramalikis), who finished 31st for $1,436.16.

The man of the hour in this tournament, though, was FlopeDeNuts. He took down first for $100,980. This is FlopeDeNuts second FTOPS title! His first came back in August 2010 during FTOPS XVII in Event #5, a $200+16 NLHE event with one rebuy and one add-on, for $131,300 as a result of a heads-up chop.

Congratulations to FlopeDeNuts and the rest of the participants who cashed in this tournament!
