The world has started to focus on the Caribbean Sea as poker action heats up this month with the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure. The Main Event is already well underway, with days one and two completed and day three set to kick off at 12pm ET today. Among the other hopeful contestants there are a number of very well regarded members of the FlopTurnRiver strategy forums taking part in a range of events.

The PokerStars Caribbean Adventure has become the traditional start to the calendar year’s tournament circuit, and draws players from all around the world to the sun and surf of the Bahamas. There are a huge range of events with combined guaranteed prize pools of many millions of dollars, including a Main Event with an estimated $20,000,000 prize pool, which last year boasted a $2.2 Million first place prize. The tournaments are televised so fans can enjoy every part of the action just as much as the players.

FlopTurnRiver’s very own Gabe, Alexos and Meeloche all lined up to compete in the Main Event, although lady luck was not on their side and the three have sadly been eliminated. Alexos and Meeloche made it through to Day Two before disappointingly being eliminated, but there are many other events still remaining, not to mention massive amounts of side game action. Moderator of the Blogs and Operations forum, courtiebee, is also enjoying some time in the sun and will be taking part in the Ladies’ Event which kicks off on the 14th at 14:00.

The Main Event is far from over, and there are still tens of events which haven’t even gotten underway at the PCA, so fans at home and on FlopTurnRiver.com still have much to hope for. Stay tuned for updates from the Main Event, the Ladies’ Event and any other tournament that provides exciting railbird action.
