The return of Paradigm Poker Consultants, Inc. was announced today by Steve Morrow, who co-directed the 2002 World Series of Poker while consulting PokerStars from a start-up poker room to the #2 position in the online poker industry.
Paradigm Poker Consultants, Inc. was put on hold as a result of Hurricane Katrina which hit the U.S. back in 2005. One of the biggest hurdles new and aspiring poker rooms face is attracting players away from other already established poker rooms in the industry. PPC Inc. will again offer their expertise to these struggling rooms.
Steve Morrow has consluted many of the largest poker tournaments in the world within his 17 years in the industry. Morrow is the only person to have directed both the largest land-based poker tournament (2002 WSOP) and the largest online poker tournament (PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker.)
PokerStars, the most successful online poker room to date, went under Morrow’s guiding wing in early 2002. Morrow signed on board only 3 months after PokerStars offered their first set of cash games online. As their manager, Morrow built a top-notch customer support system from scratch, highlighted the World Championship of Online Poker as the most prominant online poker tournament, and brought PokerStars to the top of their industry.
“An online poker room that fails to attract hordes of tournament players has little chance of success in the current market,” says Morrow.
In addition to the inital and apparent struggles, poker rooms now face a dilemma in obtaining players from the United States. The mentioned legislative obstacles and recent online poker scandals, such as the one concerning Absolute Poker are making success increasingly difficult in the online poker market.
Nevertheless, Paradigm Poker Consultants has the impressive portfolio and expertise to bring any poker room the type of results their looking for.
