Day #5 of the Full Tilt Online Poker Series XXI continues to show that Bovada has removed all doubt who is the second biggest online poker site. Today the big events were #’s Eight and Nine and both tournaments exceeded their guarantees by nearly $50,000 each.

Event #8 had a strong showing of seasoned tournament pros, high stakes pot limit omaha pros and amateurs alike. Given the tournament’s Rush Poker format it was anyone’s to win. With the blind levels increasing very quickly in the beginning and slowing down as the tournament progressed this tournament took nearly five and a half hours. After about three and a half of those hours dabigbird was the bubble, exiting in a dissapointing forty-sixth place. The remaining players who finished in the money received prizes ranging from $340.90 to $19,973.
The final table started out with FlopTurnRiver’s very own maxxscam as the chip leader, but unfortunately he would drop out in 5th place. In the end, only Gerbally and arhimides were left. Ultimately with almost identical chip stakes they would both agree to an even chop, leaving $500 to play for, as well as that shiny golden FTOPS jersey. Gerbally would go on to win Event #8 and he takes home a prize of $19,973 along with the FTOPS title. Congratulations to him!

In an event lasting over ten hours, the FTOPS # 9 has just been completed. The event, which started with 806 players had a very exciting final table. With the tournament featuring rebuys, most players started with very deep stacks, which lead to some very cool plays. In the end ottoman09 defeated voehahn heads up for the FTOPS #9. His KcJs got all in against voehahn’s AsQd. The flop came 6c6hKh, leaving voehahn only three aces or running straight cards to win, the turn 7d was no help and the Qh river sealed the tournament. ottoman09 won the $54,250 first place prize money as well as the prestige of the FTOPS #9 title.
