With the hubbub of the WCOOP just dying down, Full Tilt is preparing to roll out their latest online tournament series. The Full Tilt Series of Poker XIV is the last in the quartet of tournament festivals that Full Tilt has unleashed this year. Also making a return is the fledgling MiniFTOPS, giving low stakes players their own big-money opportunities. Both schedules feature 25 events, with a combined guaranteed prize pool of over $20 million.

FTOPS XIV is slated to begin on November 4th, packing 25 events into eleven days. The series draws to a close with the main event on November 15th. There are no massive innovations as far as the tournament schedule and format go. The FTOPS already boasts a broad and successful range of events, and the Full Tilt brains behind this 14th iteration clearly felt that more of a good thing was in order.

Much of the attention is traditionally drawn to the end of the calendar, where the Two-Day and Main events preside. However, before the FTOPS reaches that crescendo there are an exciting selection of tournaments that it would be a mistake to overlook. Event #1 is always very popular, and November’s $200 + $16 No Limit Hold ‘em 6-max tournament looks to be no exception. Buy-ins across the schedule range from $120 to $2,500 and feature Knockout, Shootout, and Turbo formats. All the key variations in poker’s broad church find a place in FTOPS XIV. No Limit and Limit Hold ‘em, Stud Eight or Better, Pot Limit Omaha, H.O.R.S.E, and Razz are all on offer. Mysteriously, two of the 25 events remain TBA on all fronts.

On November the 14th the hallowed Two-Day event gets underway. With a $2,500 + $120 buy-in and $2 million guaranteed, you can expect to see a healthy contingent of Full Tilt pros among the select field. The Main Event has a more modest $500 + $35 buy-in, but a massive $2.5 million guaranteed prize pool. Along with the welcome cash reward, any player who makes the final table of an FTOPS event will receive a limited edition jacket. In addition, event winners will pick up a gold FTOPS jersey and a unique avatar – so they can laud their success over compatriots both live and online.

The MiniFTOPS XIV steps into the limelight on December 9th. As with all previous versions, it features the exact same schedule as its older brother, with 1/10th of the buy-in cost. These tournaments are designed to let the regular player take their own shot at FTOPS glory, rather than being forced to watch from the sidelines. Highlights look set to include the $250 + $16 two-day event with $400k guaranteed and the $50 + $5 main event with $600k guaranteed. Winners and final tables will get limited edition Full Tilt clothing.

Since its origins in August 2006, the FTOPS has evolved from a simple tournament festival into a tri-yearly online poker extravaganza. In addition to the core FTOPS XIV schedule and the accompanying MiniFTOPS, there are numerous other added-extras to enjoy. The Satellite Challenge awards players who can accumulate the most satellite entries to particular tournaments with numerous extra buy-ins in Tournament $. The FTOPS Challenges task players with reaching certain goals in order to obtain extra rewards.
