Get ready in the UK – Full Tilt Poker is set to debut a new TV show, and they want you to be a part of the action! Starting April 4, enter Full Tilt’s “Poker Lounge Qualifier” tournaments for your shot at one of eight $22,000 prize packages.
The program, entitled “The Poker Lounge”, will hit the airwaves on London’s Channel 4, making its debut on June 21st and running through August 23rd. Confirmed for the show are Team Full Tilt members Gus Hansen and Phil Ivey. While many of the other seats are yet to be penciled in, contestants vying for a spot under the television lights can expect to play against some of the top pros in the game.
Similar to NBC’s popular “Poker After Dark”, the game consists of a six-player sit and go with a $20,000 buy-in for each. As with its aforementioned American cousin, “The Poker Lounge” will feature a winner-take-all structure.
The difference is this – One of the six seats will be given to a lucky amateur. That’s where Full Tilt’s prize packages come in! The $22,000 will cover the buy-in for winner, with the extra $2,000 going toward travel, accommodation, and expenses.
