FTOPS Event #18 was a Pot Limit Omaha Hi, $100 rebuy event. Originally billed as a $300k guarantee, the prize pool rocketed to $405k. With the inflated prize pool, first place shot up to nearly $90k, with 1151 players vying for the massive first place prize.
A host of well known, talented players fell just short of the final table. Will “CutiePi314” Ma finished in 12th place. Ma is an extremely talented player, who has numerous $1k final tables under his belt online, as well as winning the $10k Grand Prix de Paris event last year for over $500k. Finishing in 14th, Bobcards2, better known as t soprano on PokerStars, has an extensive tournament record, and is well respected online. This was a talented table, with tons of results under their belts before this final table. Dudeoflife, also known as dudeoflife21 on PokerStars, has won numerous tourneys on PokerStars, including a $55 freezeout, and a $22 rebuy. He narrowly missed the final table of Event #1, taking 10th. Betgo is a well-known poster from 2+2, who has had some moderate tournament success online. The player with the most accolades at this final table would have to be Klausen. Jonas Klausen, known as Tulkaz on PokerStars, has had absolutely monstrous results in the past few months, final tabling the Sunday Million twice in December on PokerStars, taking 3rd in the $1k end of the year Million for nearly $127k, and 5th in one earlier in the month, for $40.7k. Klausen was looking to add to his already impressive list of cashes, and did so, taking first in this for almost $90k. Here was the key hand that knocked out the two other most prominent players at the table, on Klausen’s way to an amazing finish.
