It was truly the winner takes all in Event number 17 at the Full Tilt Online Poker Series. That’s because this No-Limit Hold’em tournament was a 4 X Shootout affair meaning that only the winner of each table got to advance to the next round.
And with the tables set at 6-Max, players had to beat five other people at their table to go on. That meant no laying back and playing tight just to move on. Especially with 1,294 players vying for a piece of the $258,000 in guaranteed prize money!
Markus Golser hosted this event and actually managed to find his way into the cash. He finished 143th while a couple of other Full Tilt pros in Lee Watkinson and online sensation Jon “PearlJammed” Turner placed in the money as well at 35th and 90th.
But the final table belonged to “edub707”, “OUSOONERS24”, “rtkoss”, “Capt_Klonk”, “poker4me123”, and “BotOFallBOTS”. And out of these six players, it all came down to OUSOONERS24 and rtkoss for first.
By the time the smoke cleared, it was the Oklahoma U. fan OUSOONERS24 who came out on top and received the $45,290 for first while rtkoss got $28,468 for second place.
