Hi all. This is my first week covering the Full Tilt Leaderboards, and I’m excited to have the opportunity. As a long time MTT grinder on Full Tilt, hopefully I’ll be reporting my own name in the top 10 one of these days soon. Today we’ll be taking a look at the current Top Ten standings in the three leaderboard categories, and seeing what has been going on over the last week.
If you’d like to follow the FTP Leaderboard results, FlopTurnRiver archives the results daily on the Full Tilt network page. You can find it here: Leaderboard-Calendar by scrolling down to the leaderboard section and choosing a day to view. Current August 16th Top Ten MTT Leaders
With FTOPS IX in full swing, I expect the MTT leaderboard to be fairly volatile this month. I indeed found that to be the case thus far as I was reviewing the top spots this week and the changes since last Saturday. The FTOPS Main Event this Sunday will close out this series, and I’m looking forward to next week’s review already. Not to get ahead of ourselves, let’s see how this week shapes up.
The Yid maintains the lead this week with a decent lead over the rest of the field. In addition to putting in consistently high volume, he had a recent big score, taking down 2nd in the $322 buyin $90,000 Guarantee 6-max tourney last Saturday for $23,447.
The field tightens up a bit from 2nd on down, with EMSBas moving up a couple spots from 4th to 2nd. Having finished 24th on the MTT leaderboard in July, rtkoss is at it again this month. He moved from 5th to 3rd on the strength of three 4-figure cashes this week.
The 4th and 5th spots are held by the big movers of the week. Daisyxoxo vaulted from 35th to 4th by scoring a couple nice cashes this week. He took 2nd in a $109 6-max rebuy tourney called “FTOPS Event #17 Warmup”, which was good for $18,786. He also booked a win in The Fifty-Fifty last night for $10,377.
GetPWN3D (aka BeL0WaB0Ve) also made a big move up the charts. This top pro demonstrated why he is one of the best with two big scores in the FTOPS. He took 4th in FTOPS #12 on Monday for $105,000, and followed that up with 2nd in FTOPS #17 on Wednesday for $167,843. He also won the $163 buyin $40,000 Guarantee for $15,938.
Current August 16th Top Ten SNG Leaders – High Limit
1 adb235 22541.80
2 moneyinthebank1 21228.90
3 The Fiend 34 17486.90
4 PokerToronto 15584.10
5 Whitesnake1 13432.50
6 beanmo 12083.60
7 jdpc27 11480.40
8 PSCPRODIGY 11063.30
9 culaopho 10896.10
10 locks18 7965.40
Although I don’t play too many SNGs (and I probably belong in the Low Limit group, hah), I do recognize a few names in this week’s Top Ten. I’m looking forward to covering this group and learning more about the top players.
There wasn’t a lot of movement in this week’s list compared to last week’s Top Ten. The top three spots remain unchanged, with adb235 holding a slight lead over moneyinthebank1. Those two seem poised to battle it out for the top spot, although some players on this list are certainly capable of making a run for the lead. The Fiend 34 is among those, holding on to third spot only 4000 off the lead.
PokerToronto moved up from 5th to 4th this week, taking over the 4 spot from Whitesnake1 who slipped to 5th. Other movers this week include jdpc27 moving from 14th to 7th and culaopho moving from 12th to 9th. Locks18 rounds out the Top Ten this week, having moved up from 13th last Saturday.
Current August 16th Top Ten SNG Leaders – Low Limit
1 Peristeria 9911.60
2 DeepComputer 9161.10
3 blankchocolate 8095.80
4 einsammy 6783.70
5 ecued 6751.20
6 yedam 6148.20
7 kjh8448 5953.90
8 Thefrenkel 5369.80
9 TougherFish 4903.00
10 LDCrayne 4868.30
This month’s Low Limit leaderboard looks like it might have a good race brewing. Peristeria holds on to the top spot, but is starting to feel the pressure from his competition. DeepComputer jumped 3 spots this week from 5th to 2nd and trail Peristeria by only 750 chips. Blankchocolate rounds out the top three, still in good position to make a run at the lead.
A mainstay on previous leaderboards, einsammy makes a nice jump from 12th to 4th this week. We’ll see if he can keep up the pace and make a move on the top three next week.
Other movers this week are kjh8448, moving up from 17th to 7th, and LDCrayne rounding out the Top Ten having been in the 16th spot last week. I’m interested in watching this group and see how the race turns out.
That’s all for this week. Stay tuned to this spot, as I’ll be reporting on the Full Tilt Leaderboards every Saturday. See you next week!
