The wait is almost over for all US Full Tilt Poker players still waiting to receive funds from their frozen accounts. The Poker Players Alliance (PPA) Executive Director John Pappas has been notified that 80% of all players have signed the petition and accepted the balance in their accounts as stated by the Garden City Group. Approximately 35,000 claims have been filed so far.
Players who have filed their claims can “optimistically” expect to receive e-checks by the end of the first quarter of 2014, i.e. end of March. Players must file a claim to become eligible for a return of the funds. The website handling the claims process can be found here. The deadline to submit a Petition for Remission is November 15, 2013, so if you haven’t done so already make sure you get in your claim before it is too late!
Black Friday occurred on April 15, 2011, and since then all US funds have been frozen on Full Tilt Poker. PokerStars acquired Full Tilt Poker in August 2012 and, following a $547 million settlement with the Department of Justice, Full Tilt Poker successfully relaunched in November.
