FTOPS Event 11 was a $216 Buy-In Limit Omaha H/L tournament. The guaranteed prize pool was $200,000, and as with every other FTOPS event, the pool was exceeded. In the end there were 1,333 entrants for prize money totaling $266,600 with 135 places paid. The event was hosted by Howard Lederer and featured 24 FullTilt professionals, including Chip Jett, Lee Watkinson, and PearlJammed.
Event 11 kept with the general theme of the FTOPS this year, seeing as there were very few pros who cashed; four to be exact. Lederer, the host was taken out before the cash in 204th. Scott Fischman placed 129th for $348.58, PearlJammed took 95th for $399.90, JordanMorgan took 70th for 493.21, and the highest placing FullTilt pro was HuckleberrySeed who finished in 54th for $613.18.
The final table consisted of some experienced and some inexperienced players. WENTHUGSCRY had to be the favorite. In FTOPS 6 he finished 2nd in Event 4, a Pot Limit Omaha 6-max tournament and over the last six months has made over $140,000 in online multi-table tournaments (MTT). Rex55 cashed in both Event 2 and Event 5 in FTOPS 4 and pycb has cashed in FTOPS 5 Event 13, an Omaha event. Rounding out the final table was Beef_Curtains, craigmack86, BrokeLad, Jacksy7, dgang, and Foyanci.
Foyanci finished 9th at the final table for almost $4000, followed by dgang. Surprisingly, WENTHUGSCRY went out in 7th for $7,731. Then, Jacksy7, BrokeLad, and craigmack86 respectively. The final three had all cashed in MTT’s before, making the first place prize an assumed crap shoot. Beef_Curtains took 3rd for $26,993 and the more FTOPS-experienced Rex55 was taken out in 2nd for $37,324 in the 9th hour of the tournament at Level 36, 80K/160K. These knockouts left pycb in first taking home the $58,652 top prize.
