With the holidays approaching, bwin is busy wrapping up gifts for their cash-hungry customers. Their gifts come in two forms — the annual bwin Christmas Calender and the 100 prize packages to the GSOP Salzburg.
In total, the Christmas Calendar will be offering $100,000 worth of prizes throughout the final weeks of 2012. These will be doled out in various forms, from cash prizes (in both tournaments and ring games) to other special promotional rewards. Players can compete over live tournament packages and electronic devices, as well.
Here’s how to get in on the action — hop over to the bwin servers and check out their special $100K Christmas Calender area. Players will then need to sign up for their preferred promotions and be sure to fulfill any other necessary requirements. These range from accumulating a certain number of player points to simply showing up at the proper time for a tournament. Each of the fifteen promotions features a different prize pool. Some of these are the traditional cash sort, while others are made up of goodies like Nintendo 3DSs and Sony PS3s. There are even free rides available to bwin’s popular GSOP Poker Series.
It’s this last item which is one of the most intriguing. Right now, there are 100 entry packages just waiting to be claimed. Targeted at the GSOP Live Salzburg event, each one of these is valued at an impressive $3,600. These are being doled out through qualifier tournaments on the bwin servers on a daily basis, so interested players should have plenty of chances still available to them.
Known as the “Gateway to the Alps,” Salzburg is home to some of the most beautiful views on the European continent. Action will kick off just after the new year, with the first cards hitting the air on January 6. Each of the 100 players who manage to capture a prize package will be instantly credited with $700, which they are to use to cover travel expenses. The Final of the GSOP Live has been moved up to January 15, bringing the culmination of this event almost a week closer than originally scheduled.
