Over 1200 players registered for FTOPS XVI Event 19, $216 NLHE, 1 rebuy 1 add-on. The tournament is one of the few FTOPS events that failed to exceed its guaranteed prize pool of $600,000.
The event was hosted by Bruno Stefanelli. Stefanelli is a 7 Card Stud wizard, so it was odd to see him hosting a No Limit Hold ‘Em Event. Despite this, Stefanelli managed to finish in 66th place. Full Tilt Pro Marco Liesy also finished in the money. Jared “TheWacoKidd” Hamby shined the brightest for Team Full Tilt finishing in 48th. Hamby is an online prodigy and has amassed over $1 million in winnings.
The final table was packed with talent from across the globe. In the end, the final four players decided to make a deal. IDreamOfZiig came out on top, winning nearly $100,000. Last year, he shipped a SCOOP event on PokerStars for nearly $250,000. Will he continue this sick run in the 2010 SCOOP? The runner up, dilling89, is no stranger to big money either. Last spring, he finished runner up in Full Tilt Poker’s $750,000 Guaranteed. It is also worth noting that sixth place finisher, lucky seven, managed to claim victory in a SCOOP event last year as well. It is safe to say that this was one of sickest FTOPS final tables of all time.
