After building up for a considerable amount of time, Interpoker’s Bad Beat Jackpot has finally been captured. Just days ago, a table featuring nine players with €0.50/€1 No Limit Hold’em gameplay managed to haul in this massive €1,265,583.34 prize pool.
The action started with a bang. Each of the eventual final players held a pocket pair – one with aces, the other with kings. The board came As9hKc, giving both three of a kind. The turn card, and the king of spades, the last one in the deck, came up to all but seal victory with a four of a kind. But the final card, miraculously, was the ace of clubs. Quad aces over quad kings, and the Bad Beat Jackpot was triggered.

While this sounds like an utterly fantastic set of circumstances, Interpoker’s Bad Beat Jackpot was set up to work in exactly this way. In order to unleash the jackpot, the winning hand was required to be a four of a kind with tens or better. Both of a player’s pocket cards needed to be used in the beat, which sets things up to happen just as they did.
