iPoker, the third largest poker network on the internet, has announced that they will be dropping NoIQ Poker and Carlos Poker from the network. They issued a simple press release, which states, “iPoker has, following discussions with Tain, decided to remove Carlos Poker and NoIQ Poker from the iPoker Network. The said cardrooms will be removed from the iPoker network liquidity by January 24th, 2009.”
They didn’t state specifically why the two rooms are being dropped from the network. There also is not yet any information on what is next for NoIQ or Carlos Poker. Neither site has made any announcements on their individual websites.
Even without these two sites, iPoker remains a very strong network in the realm of online poker. According to holdemreview.com, iPoker has 80 skins and is the largest network of multiple sites in terms of average monthly traffic numbers. Only PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker rank higher in terms of total players, although both of those sites are independent. The network is also home to the third largest individual site, in Titan Poker.
