Phil Hellmuth and UB, a skin of the Cereus Network, have been working together for years. Hellmuth has been the face of UB since before the Cereus scandal broke out. However, it’s speculated that Hellmuth may be having disagreements with Cereus and his sponsorship deal.

Hellmuth has not been seen wearing UB logos for almost a month. This includes the NAPT Bounty Shootout tournament that was recently on ESPN. UB may no longer be able to afford Hellmuth’s demands which are rumored to be rather large. The idea of Hellmuth leaving UB may have a heavy impact on both Hellmuth and UB. Hellmuth would become a “free agent” of sorts and able to be signed by other poker networks. It will be interesting to see if another poker network goes ahead and signs him. Additionally, either side may have unreleased information on the scandal which may see the light of day if these two big players part ways. Keep updated with FlopTurnRiver as this story develops.
