The Iseries Live kicked off today with a seemingly large amount of success. Prop gamblers and poker fans alike all joined in on the live stream with live hole cards for the ten man sit n go. The winner-take-all event was very excited for those who tuned in to watch with lots of high level play and interesting action. In the end, young pro James Dempsey ending up beating the tough field of seasoned pros to take home a winner-take-all prize of 100,000 euros! A big congrats to him!

Who knows if this idea of live streaming with live hole cards will continue? It seems like a great idea to refresh poker and keep non-poker fanatics interested. Personally, I don’t think it will hurt the integrity of the games because the information is available to everyone and if certain pros don’t want their hole cards exposed for the entire duration of a tournament they can choose not to play. Hopefully this catches on to the poker world and can help revive the game along with the hopeful return of internet poker to the United States.
