Viktor “Isildur1” Blom and Scott “UrNotInDangr” Palmer faced off again after their Round 1 battle last week. Palmer won round 1 by $5,425, which he carried into round 2. That proved not to be enough, though, as Blom pounded Palmer, ending with $61,182 profit after all 5,000 No Limit Hold’em hands were complete.

The two play four tables of $50/$100 to conclude their match. Isildur1 started the match off strong with a quick double up. Palmer raised the button to $300 and Isildur1 three-bet Palmer’s open, making it $1000 to go. Palmer called and the two saw a flop of AKK. Isildur1 fired a bet of $1200 which was called by Palmer. The turn came a T and Isildur1 fired again, betting $2650. Palmer quickly called and the river was a Q. Isildur1 shoved his last $5950 on the river and was called by Palmer’s QJ. Unfortunately for Palmer, Blom held AK for the flopped full house and took down the $21,600 pot.

Palmer couldn’t seem to catch a break during the match. Even when he trapped Isildur1 with KK vs Isildur’s J6 on a J high flop, Blom caught a 6 on the turn to make two pair and snap-called Palmer’s check raise shove. Even with the coolers, Isildur1 seemed on top of his game during the match. Palmer made a late push to cut into Blom’s $100,000 lead with 500 hands remaining, but it wasn’t enough as Blom easily held on to his lead and took down the match.

After losing early Showdown matches to Ike Haxton, Isildur has roared back and defeated numerous opponents, including: Tony G, Daniel Cates, Eugene Katchalov, Attila “DodgyFish72” Gulcsik, Daniel Negreanu, and now Palmer.
