With Viktor Blom currently in Monte Carlo, where buying a sandwich can involve you calling your mortgage advisor for a second or third mortgage, I’m guessing he’s packing enough stacks of Euro’s not to have an issue buying dinner. Given the decisions and actions below, I think Money is the last thing on his mind, and it’s all about the thrill of the action.

We join Viktor continuing his online battle against Ben “Bttech86” Tollerene, and when we left this battle, the honours were about even, with Viktor only down $1,471 in the matchup. The battle continued through one mish-mash session involving six different tables and 450 hands.

When the dust had finally settled, Viktor had added $715,167 to his online bankroll, so Saturday was turning out to start well for him. We caught some of the action, and have a nice video package for you:

Viktor is also still in Monte Carlo. How can I be so sure? Could it be I’m psychic? Have I hired a private investigator?  Yes, and yes, but mainly because we saw him on the EPT Live Stream playing in a €500,000 buy in cash game last night. It seems that he didn’t have the best of luck, and ended up losing around €400,000. If you want to read through the details, Poker Journalist Frank Op de Woerd tweeted the action after the EPT Live Stream stopped broadcasting. Go to @webjoker and have a read if you want to catch up on the action.

Viktor quit the live game fairly early, and logged into the Full Tilt client to see if he could try and repair the damage from the losses he suffered in Monte Carlo.

He started off playing “Kagome Kagome” at a $1.5k/$3k 2-7TD table. these two have more than a passing acquaintance, and it seems they both know each other’s game pretty well as the 204 hands of action ended up with Viktor only losing $17,274, which is nothing at these stakes. We caught some of the action, and have a nice video for you to enjoy below:

Viktor played just over 150 hands of FLO8 action against Kyle “KPR16” Ray over two sessions at the same heads up $2k/$4 table. Viktor won both sessions for a profit from the American of $35,962 for the day.

The big action for the day was at the $5000/$1000 $40k Cap PLO tables, where Viktor actually played more than just his nemesis of Ben Tollerene. Some of the others also involved were Phil “OMGClayAiken” Galfond and Tom “durrrr” Dwan. Viktor sat at 7 tables over this session, and only lost at 2 of them on his way to winning $707,362 from the 864 hands.

We have some of the hands from this session, and saw some pretty big number floating about, and we’ve wrapped them up in a nice little video for you.

So the day ended with Viktor winning $1,441,217 on the tables at Bovada Poker. He may have lost about €400,000 in a live cash game, but we can’t track that day on day, so we’ll be leaving all his live results out of these numbers. Blom has now taken his yearly profit line on Full Tilt back up to $4,554,727. This isn’t far off his peak for the year which was just over $5Million.

Just after Viktor finished playing, he tweeted his own update of the day:

This is an example of a day when Viktor got everything right. He may have lost €400k in the live cash game, but given he then quit, and returned to his more usual hunting grounds of Full Tilt, where he had one of his biggest days in a while, I can’t really criticise him for it.

While not everything went perfectly in Viktor’s direction, he made the best of his action, and

you don’t win over a million dollars playing poker in less than 24 hours without having skills.

I’m going to be watching the stacked EPT Grand Final Table on the live stream for the rest of the day, while doing my best to keep an eye on the possibility of another massive Live Cash Game in Monte Carlo. I’d suggest following @Webjoker to keep an eye on that mega cash game, as he’s going to try and cover it if the Main Event finishes in time.
