The only music going round in my head today is from The Magic Roundabout, and it’s starting to send me crazy(ier). I had seem the action between Blom and Tom Dwan (more of which later) and all I could think of was that theme song. Ever since then, no matter what other theme songs from Kids programs I listen to, I still have the Magic Roundabout in my head, and it’s too trippy. I’ve thrown myself into my work, and I’ve hopefully created a nice article for you to read.

Viktor started the day at the 2-7TD tables, playing out 208 hands at the 6-Max $1.5k/$3k tables. We didn’t manage to catch any of the action, but Blom left with a very healthy $104,450 profit. After the disappointing results from Monday’s 2-7TD action, this smallish sample would have been a welcome result for Viktor.

Tom “durrrr” Dwan

The next action Viktor jumped into was another matchup against fellow Full Tilt Professional, Tom “durrrr” Dwan. Due to the large number of $100/$200 being spread at Bovada, we missed this matchup. What we do know is that durrrr was the one to come out on top on this occasion.

The 214 hand matchup was spread over 5 tables, and 2 hours. The 1st hour saw the two break about even, but the 2nd hour, and the last two tables were crushing defeats for Isildur. Over the last 101 hands of the battle, Viktor lost $268,376, and lost $278,742 in total against durrrr for the day. These two seem to be trading blows in this prolonged war between the cream of Full Tilt’s player base. I think we’ll see action involving these two for as long as Dwan is playing online before he heads back to the Macau cash games that have been keeping his bank accounts topped up for the past few weeks.

These two are obviously going to be play each other for big sample over time, and we on the rail will look on, and hope we can learn while we enjoy watching two of the current world elite battle each other.

Viktor Jumped into one more session before he called it a day, a FLO8 heads up game against someone we’ve not seen in the Isildur1 Watch for a while, Alexander “PostflopAction” Kostritsyn. The battle was held at a $1.5k/$3k table, and the two faced off over 73 hands of intense 2-7TD action. The course of Bloms’s day didn’t seem to change, as he lost $138,012 to the Russian, who is leading the profit list for this year. We managed to catch some of this action, and have the video below:

After the relatively small number of hands played yesterday, it seems that Viktor bailed out of the day, rather than losing even more. This, as regular readers will know, is something I’ve been crying out for him to do more of, and it was very gratifying to see Viktor follow the advice I’d have given him if I was in the room.

Viktor lost $233,546 over the day, taking his profit line to $3,517,934 for the year so I’m not too concerned by the losses yesterday. In the games he’s playing, Viktor is not going to have winning day on winning  day forever. The higher variance of both PLO and FLO8, not to mention 2-7TD mean he will see larger swings that NLHE players would consider normal. Nothing I’ve seen is cause for concern, he will continue to battle Dwan, and I’m not sure yet who has the edge, but whoever does right now, that probably won’t be the case in another 2,000 hands or so. Both of these players can adapt and change their game in order to take advantage of a player’s strategy, and as both of these players are known to be aggressive, it can cost a lot of money before a player can see his opponent has adapted.

We’ll have to see how this plays out, and if you want to try out the action on Full Tilt, they are making it even easier, with a free $10 for new accounts set up by clicking the banner below.
