Yesterday, we had left Viktor playing over the change in date, working hard after winning $431,013 on Thursday. Viktor seemed to be playing well, and putting good volumes.

History wasn’t on Viktor’s side though, he has crashed and burned playing long sessions in the past, and has a tendency to spiral out of control. We’ll have to see if that happened yesterday…

We re-join Viktor as the date change looms, and he’s was playing $500/$1000 $30k Cap NLHE against “Trueteller.” This wasn’t a short battle and the players saw 1655 hands against each other over four different tables. The First part of this battle didn’t go in Viktor’s direction, and over 1378 hands, he was down $120,377.

The next  session certainly took the sting out of “Trueteller”  we really saw Viktor take control  over the 277 hands, as Viktor won $256,341, and ended up $135,964 in profit over “Trueteller” for the day. We caught some of the action, and have a video for you below:

Viktor also played a large set of hands against Kyle “KPR16” Ray, and the two were seen together so much, rumours may be starting to fly.

The first session was long, 751 hands long in fact, and set the scale for the matchup. Viktor put an extra $258,815 into his online account, only to see KPR take the next 4 sessions for a total $321,078 over 352 hands. the next three sessions swung the other way, and Viktor was able to win $234,952 over 191 hands to end his battle against KPR with a profit of $172,689.

We saw some of the action, and have some of the bigger hands for your enjoyment.

Viktor also saw some 2-7TD action for the day as well, and at a single 6-Max table made a healthy profit of $119,210 over a short 90 hands session. Blom also faced off against Alex “IReadYrsoul” Millar over a single heads up NLHE table. Viktor dropped $59,705 to the Englishman over 71 hands, and stopped playing NLHE for the day.

The other big battle for the day was against Isildur1 Watch regular, “Sally Woo.” Viktor played 3 distinct sessions against this unknown master of the limit games. The first was not a great result for Viktor as he lost $164,012 over a mere 70 hands. The other two sessions were much better for Blom, and saw him win $132,976 from the enigmatic player over 102 hands. Viktor’ play against “SallyWoo” finished with a small loss of $31,036 for the day.

We have some of the more interesting hands in the video package below for your perusal.

Viktor ended Friday still playing poker, but with a profit of $337,122, which gave him a yearly number of $3,376,762, which keeps him in first place for the honours of winning the most money online.

Viktor seems to be really in the groove, grinding well and profitably for the first time in a while. It’s been a while since I’ve seen Viktor play long winning sessions, recently its been more a case of the long sessions being a bad sign for his profit line.

His game selection seems to be getting better as well. In the swingy games he has been playing, he’s been managing his games pretty well, and not chasing losses with more losses. No player is ever going to be able to crush all the time at these levels, so losses are a part of the game, and Viktor seems to be handling his swings better. Or maybe that’s just my wishful thinking?
