Viktor’s Monday certainly couldn’t be argued to have been strenuous. It must have almost seemed like a holiday with less than 3 hours at the tables. Viktor has certainly been playing less over the past few days, and this may be down to him coming to terms with how he can spiral out of control on longer sessions. it could also be down to the fact that the games haven’t been out there.

Viktor’s short day was only 770 hands long, and started out against Isildure1 Watch Newbie, “Yoghii.” The matchup was over a single FLHE nosebleed table, and 256 hands. “Yoghii” was the one in ascendancy in this first matchup covered by Isildur Watch, and took $252,000 from Viktor. We caught some of the action, and the video below has the highlights:

Starting after a seven hour break, Viktor’s only other action of the day was he daily appointment with high stakes PLO expert Ben “Bttech86” Tollerene. The session was limited to one “mini” session and only three tables. Viktor won across all three tables, and at the end of the 514 hands they played, he was up $747,818. I’m guessing that Tollerene was the one to pull the plug, rather than Viktor, as he’s known to have developed a good ability to quit when he feels he doesn’t have an edge. We have some of the more interesting hands that hit the cap at these tables, and they are in the video below for your enjoyment.

Viktor ended the day with a very healthy $495,818 profit, which takes his yearly profits to $3,911,100, which is certainly nothing to sneeze at.

With only 2 sessions to talk about, there really isn’t going to be much analysis I’m going to be able to provide from yesterday’s play. The session against “Yoghii” may seem to be an unmitigated disaster, and the results were certainly not pretty, but “Yoghii” has not played these levels before. Viktor had to consider he had an edge over a player taking a shot at the nosebleeds, so I don’t mind the fact that Viktor was continually losing over the session any where as near as much if it had been a nosebleed reg.

The daily battle against Tollerene went completely in Viktor favour, and the only thing that would have stopped Viktor continuing would have been Tollerene deciding it just wasn’t his day. We’ll have to see what happens later today, when I’m sure this standing appointment will bring us some more action.
