Coming into Sunday Viktor “Isildur1” Blom had suffered a few bad days before and it seemed that a day off would be a good idea, but Blom had other plans.
Isildur1 decided to skip most of the action this time, including the 2-7, FLO8 and Holdem games and went straight for the big bucks sitting at the $500/$1000 CAP PLO tables. Soon after he did, he got his wish for a rematch as Ben “Bttech86” Tollerene, who has been crushing Isildur1 the last few days sat down for another battle.
This time only two tables of $500/$1000 CAP PLO have been launched, but both players came out to play hard and the very first hands of the first table proved that all too well. In fact, in the first 10 hands of the first table, Blom and Tollerene went all in 5 times! At times you would think they were actually playing holdem considering how light their holdings were most of the time.
Despite the fact that Blom and Tollerene played only 2 tables all the way, the aggression of the game provided some incredible action and swings. At the very start Tollerene seemed to have picked up where he left off the day before, jumping to an early lead, but then Blom really kicked it up to high gear and within 2 hours he had a lead of over $600K!
Most players would have been pretty discouraged at this point, but Tollerene quickly regained his composure and soon started mounting multiple comebacks, at one point reducing the deficit to almost nothing, however, Blom was definitely not in the mood to give up another very profitable day to settle for a break – even result.
Despite Ben’s best efforts, Blom not only regained the lost ground of +$600K, but pushed way further as he ended the day up more than $800K, all at the expense of Ben “Bttech86” Tollerene. Let’s hope he will come back for a rematch soon!
