With Isildur putting the volume, he has been driving himself to make some serious money. I personally think he’s trying to force the poker community to give him the respect he feels he has already earned, and will play himself into the ground until he has it. He really wants to crush his opponents, and walk all over them at the tables. Some times this unbending strategy works, and sometimes it doesn’t. When it works, it’s usually down to Viktor being able to leverage his skills, when it doesn’t, it’s usually down to Blom not knowing when to give up.

At the moment, it’s pretty much a coin flip what kind of day it is, and we shall have to flip that coin…

Viktor’s first real session of the day was a visit to the FLO8 tables, with a little 2-7TD thrown in for good measure. The 134 hands of poker cost Viktor $38,255, and lead him into playing two battles, one with “Kagome Kagome” at 2-7TD, and one at FLHE against “jama-dharma.”

The 2-7TD action was played at the nosebleed (where else) $1.5k/£3k tables. Kagome had the best of the day, and went away with $61,825 of Viktor’s bankroll after they had played 223 hands.

The battle against “jama-dharma” was a little more beneficial for our Swedish hero, and the two played each other on and off over the day. In their heads up matches, Viktor ended the day up $201,955 over the enigmatic player. We have some of the hands in the video below:

Viktor also faced off against Watch regular Kyle “KPR16” Ray over some FLO8 tables, again Viktor was playing at the top limits, $2000/$4000. After a hard fought 553 hand battle, the two players had reached a virtual stalemate. Viktor had squeezed out a $16,866 profit, which at these levels is barely over 4 big bets. We do however have some of the action to show you, because as usual, this was a hard fought battle between these two action junkies. We start off however with an interesting hand from an earlier confrontation with “SallyWoo.”

Again, the main event of the day was the action between Viktor and Ben “Bttech86” Tollerene, over at the PLO tables.

Again it was a day of “mini” sessions, and we’ve been able to discern 4 today. The first three were not great for Viktor, with results of -$47,039, +$94,772 and -$165,568 respectively. The last session however was certainly in Viktor’s favour, and earned him a very respectable $635,830 over 572 hands left the final profit for Blom at $517,995 over 1212 hands. The package below has some of the more interesting hands:

Today was a good day for Viktor, with $880,613 going into his online coffers, and this takes his yearly profit to $3,391,622, which due to other losses, takes Viktor back to the top of the yearly profit tables.

Viktor showed reasonable restraint over the day, and while at points he was over $220k down, most of that came from 1 table’s losses. After leaving that table, he worked his way back to a profit gradually at the FLO8 and FLHE tables, and didn’t spiral downwards into the place he goes when he loses all self control. After his second mini session against Tollerene, Viktor was ahead for the day, and with his action against Kyle Ray and “jama,” he didn’t dip back into a negative result for the rest of the day.

Admittedly, most of Viktor’s profit’s came from his last session against Tollerene, but he was up a decent day’s profit before that even started.

Viktor hasn’t been showing the lack of tilt control that has characterised his recent play, so I can only hope he has it under control. The other option is he’s just running well, and hasn’t needed to pull the plug.

Whatever the case is, he has been walking over his opposition, and has taken back the first spot of the profit leader board, and I’ll be watching to see what happens next.
