It was in 2006 that Jamie Gold won the main event of the World Series of Poker, and ever since then people have been speculating on when he was going to sign a sponsorship deal and which room he would choose.  Well speculate no more.

Gold, through his agent, has announced that he has signed a deal with one of the newest online sites around, Aced.  His agent, Sean Fredericks, has said that Gold has turned down several offers throughout the years since his big win.  “We’ve been careful and patient in waiting for the right deal,” he states.  Although terms of the deal have not been made public, it is estimated that an endorsement by Gold would come with an 8 figure plus price tag.  Aced will also sponsor Jamie at major tournaments across the United States and throughout the world.

The Aced.com site now proudly states “Jamie Gold, the all time WSOP Money Leader now plays exclusively at Aced.com.”  Aced has only been in business since September of 2008 and is a member of the Merge Gaming Network, a small but growing network known for great software and excellent promotions.  Having a big name pro like Jamie Gold is surely a nice feather in their cap.  Their Poker Room Manager, Brandon Berndt, summed up the companies feelings on Gold.  “We are extremely excited to have Jamie on board, not only because of his obvious value as an ambassador for us within the poker world, but for the unparalleled enthusiasm, insight, and creativity he brings to the ongoing development of our brand.  He could have chosen so many other sites, but we share his values and vision.  He is worth every penny – or billion pennies.”
