Whether it’s because you have continued playing on Full Tilt or whether you have been following our coverage here on FlopTurnRiver.com, you probably already know that FTOPS XX is in full swing. Players from all over the world have stepped up to the plate and participated in these events, and while the US players are missed, the resulting prize pools are certainly nothing to turn your nose up at.

Yesterday saw Event 27 kick off at 21:00 ET. Some were wondering whether or not this $1,000+$60 No Limit Multi-Entry tournament would have trouble making its $500,000 guarantee due to its late start and the lack of Americans. It turns out the start time was no problem at all, though, as the guarantee was eclipsed and the prize pool ended up at $822,000.

Ninety people made the money, including a few Full Tilt pros. JonoKaramalikis and Caio Pimenta placed 31st and 32nd respectively, which earned them both $2,794.80. The highest finishing Full Tilt pro was Mike McDonald, though. He actually made the final table and took 7th for a respectable $24,660.

Hailing from Waterloo Ontario, Mike McDonald is also known as Timex online. He won the EPT German Open back in 2008 when he was 18 years old, making him the youngest player to ever win an EPT event. He has also banked several other impressive scores when it comes to live tournament poker, a number of them 6-figure cashes. McDonald’s online scores are equally impressive. Across five different poker sites, he has cashed for a total of just under $1 million. This includes $226k on Full Tilt Poker and $465k on PokerStars.

McDonald wasn’t the only phenomenal player to make the final table, however. Seven of the nine that made the final table were Canadian, and a number of them were huge winners!

Busting first from the final table was Brendooor, also known as Brendon Rubie from Australia. He is currently ranked 89th on PocketFives with an incredible $1.6 million in winnings across five sites! He received $13,974 for his 9th place finish.

bmwmcoupe placed 8th for $19,234.80. He is currently ranked 2,696th on PocketFives and has won a respectable $720,380 over five different sites.

bigdennys, who finished in 6th place for $36,990, is another player that has won over 7 figures online. He goes by Denis Bergeron in real life and has won an impressive $1.2 million on Full Tilt, PokerStars, and UB combined. He is currently ranked 253rd on PocketFives.

Finishing in 5th place was p00cket00, and he received $51,375. At risk of sounding like a broken record, this is another player that has won an amazing amount of money playing online poker. His wins combine for over $3 million across ten different sites, and he is currently ranked 13th on PocketFives.

We don’t know very much about 1XSilverX1, who finished in 4th place for $67,815. He has played just a handful of games on Full Tilt Poker, but it’s impressive to note that this was his 2nd final table of FTOPS XX as he took 6th place in Event 1 for $44,499.

We know just as little about the 3rd place finisher, Krabby23. He took home $88,365 for his efforts, by far his largest score on Full Tilt Poker so far. He plays an average buy-in of just $69, so it’s probably safe to say that this cash was a gigantic boost to his bankroll!

The last players remaining, d0r1t0s and Jiigsaw, made a deal heads-up. First place was originally set at $189,060 with second place to receive $119,190. After the deal, Jiigsaw took home $166,399.24 as his first place prize, and d0r1t0s ended up with $141,850.76 as his second place prize. Jiigsaw won heads-up and received the prestigious golden jersey.

d0r1t0s, from Montreal Canada, goes by Christopher McClung in real life. He has won a cool $518,136 over PartyPoker, Full Tilt Poker, and PokerStars, and he is currently ranked 1580th on PocketFives. His previous largest cash was $39k just this month in the Sunday Warm-Up on PokerStars. It’s safe to say that April 2011 has been a month to remember so far for McClung!

We know a little less about Jiigsaw, our Event 27 FTOPS XX champion. His average buy-in on Full Tilt was just $52 before this event, though, and his previous best score was a mere $2,500. Talk about a bankroll boost! Congratulations to Jiigsaw and everyone else that cashed the event. Please see below for the final table payouts.
