Party Poker, the former undisputed champion of online poker heavyweights, has recently signed Kara Scott as a member of Team Party. She joins 2009 Poker Hall of Fame inductee Mike Sexton, Steward Scott, Ian Frazier, Remy Biechel, Bodo Sbrzensy and Felipe Ramos on the team whose mission is to represent Party Poker in poker related events around the world.

Kara Scott has been on a tremendous life (and poker) upswing recently. In 2008, Scott won the PartyPoker.com Sports Stars Challenge III. In 2009, it was announced that the venerable TV show High Stakes Poker would bring in Scott instead of AJ Benza to co-host the show together with the legendary Gabe Kaplan. She will be along Gabe in the booth and also interview the players during the breaks.

In 2009, she also placed second in the Irish Open for €312,600, which is to date her biggest score ever. Scott also cashed in both the 2008 and ’09 WSOP main events, which is also something for the record books, as she is the only woman ever to cash in two main events, and also the only woman ever to do so consecutively.

Scott’s total live tournament earnings exceed $550,000.

The deal between Scott and Party Poker involves that she will have to host a few events and also involves buy-ins for tournaments in all sorts of different venues around the world. She recently called the action of PartyPoker.com World Open V at the Palm Beach Casino in London, and is expected to host the upcoming Party Poker Premier League IV in Las Vegas.

All the best for Kara in the future! And if you hope to sit next to her on the tables, you know what you have to do: download Party Poker, register a new account, and start playing!
