SEVEN PLAYERS HAVE WON A WSOP MAIN EVENT SEAT!
On July 1st, seven players won their own Ladbrokes WSOP dream packages to play in the WSOP main event in true Ladbrokes Style. Last year’s winner Peter Eastgate was also a Ladbrokes WSOP dream player, before he betrayed Ladbrokes and signed up with PokerStars.
The satellite took place in the world-famous Rio Hotel & Casino. It was a $1060 buy-in and 73 players took part in it. This means 7 players were lucky enough to win their seat to play in the best WSOP package available today. The bubble prize was generously boosted by Ladbrokes and turned into a seat for the Ladbrokes.com Irish Poker festival. Ladbrokes’ first winners were: Lee Pope (sirus77), Michael Sterk (4thnoxx), David Mann (dmannyboy), Martin Stalros (Michelin), Gary Edgley (shortstack), Craig Swatton (Plymlegend) and Vinod Jadav (vinny). Congratulations to all of these players.
AND SO DID THREE MORE!
Ladbrokes Vegas Dream tour moved on to the second of the three live satellites today at the Hard Rock Casino, Las Vegas. The remaining players who were unsuccessful in progressing through the 1st satellite at the Rio were ready to do battle once more and hopefully claim one of the three WSOP Main Event seats available. Play began at 12.30 and there were three tables left when it reached mid afternoon. But, Ladbrokes’ then crowned their next three Main Event seat winners and they were Vishal ‘Kings4s-768’ Dhanak, Thomas ‘Labomba’ Swenson and Ross ‘Rossydreamer’ Jarvis. Congratulations to all three players!
LADBROKES CAPTAIN STEVE DAVIS JOINS TWITTER!
Twitter has a new member – Steve Davis. The former six times World Snooker Champion has surrendered and joined the celebrity Twitter brigade in an attempt to lay to rest the funny, but cruel ‘boring’ moniker, bestowed on him by satirical, eighties puppeteers, Spitting Image. Steve ‘fiveknuckle’ (Steve Davis as a twitter name has already been taken) has started as he means to go on by hosting an exclusive party with sponsors Ladbrokes, in the legendary 51st floor open-air nightclub the Voodoo Lounge to celebrate the arrival of the Ladbrokes Poker players. Steve commented, “The trappings in Vegas are immense and I have had a great time letting my hair down with all of the other Ladbrokes Poker players. The Voodoo Lounge is only the beginning…”
