Unless you’ve been housing yourself under a rock for 10 years, you are probably keenly aware of how incredibly popular poker has become. Online poker has been one of the most effective driving forces behind this boom, with major players PokerStars and FullTilt bringing in new players every day. But poker newcomer, and old timer software creator, Microsoft is planning on mixing things up in the poker world with the release of their new poker game: Full House.

The visually rich and interactive Full House is being released for XBOX 360 and Windows Mobile 7 platforms. From standing in the line at the grocery store, to reclining at home, Full House will be at your fingertips. Players won’t be playing for real money, but rather digital chips. There is no limit to your buy-back. Every player can play for as long as they like. Buy-ins, wins, and losses count for or against you in Full House’s XP system, where you can gain levels up to 50. An assortment of features open up as players gain levels, from unique furniture to costumes to new poker challenges.

You can play against computers or real players, in scheduled games lasting 30 minutes each. Microsoft developed a clever AI, capable of different styles of play, including strategic, reserved players and bluffing, aggressive players. Table sizes range from 2, 6, and 10 players, with fast AI action and lots of chips to take down. In online mode, human players compete with each other, bringing a needed level of strategy, cunning, and depth to the game. Features include text chat and voice chat to interact in a friendly banner with your opponents.

Full House sports excellent graphics and a streamlined user experience, creating fun, unique, and memorable poker games. The game includes classy lounge and jazz music, to add to the already game’s plush atmosphere. The high level of customization from your avatar to your environment adds a flair not found in most online poker games.

A poker game this fun to play, visually interesting, and expertly developed can only increase the ever-soaring popularity of poker. Full House will be released in the XBOX 360 and Windows Mobile 7 marketplaces tomorrow, March 16.
