MiniFTOPS XXII
The incredibly successful MiniFTOPS series is in it’s twenty second season, and last night we saw Event #30 go into the books.
This was the $20 + $2 NLHE $30,000 GTD event, and this was an Escalator Tournament, which meant the further into the event we got, the blind levels got longer and longer, giving more and more play towards the conclusion of the tournament.
We saw 2,518 entries, leading to 270 players getting paid, and the $30k guarantee was smashed, leaving the prize pool at $50,360.
The title went to “SonnyBlack87”, a player who seems to have had a long history of winning on Full Tilt, as he has won The Sunday Mulligan back in 2011, and has over $300k in winnings on the site. The $9,568.40 he won yesterday may only be a drop in that particular ocean, but it certainly won’t be hurting his bottom line.
With no deal done at the final table, the results looked like this:

The run for the mFTOPS leader board is also still underway, although it looks pretty conclusive who’s going to be taking that particular prize.
Matthew “gingerone45” Hunt is sitting pretty on top of the leaderboard with over 250 points seperating him from second place he won his second mFTOPS of this series, taking down Event #31, the $20 + $2 HORSE Event. When he got to the final table of the event, he tweeted that it was “…so sick, I can’t even play an of these games #ridetheheater” ANd ride that heaters he did, and a short time later, this turned up on my twitter feed:

Current second place on the leader board, “BPotMHeHOGi,” has had a good series, with a bunch of cashes to go with his Event #15 Title, but unless he can do something to stop the runaway train of Hunt, the Leader board Title is going to go to the Englishman.
