PokerStars and Daniel Negreanu are hosting a special event in the Hungarian capital of Budapest. The action is set to kick off in this live tournament on September 15.
According to PokerStars, the prize pool at this private event has been set at 50,000 HUF. No players operating outside of Hungarian borders will be eligible to play, making this a truly individualistic event for the nation’s population. Also in attendance will be Team PokerStars pro Richard Toth, who will assist Negreanu in defending their sponsor’s prize.
If they haven’t already, Hungarian players can begin competing immediately for their shot to compete against this pair of world class pros. PokerStars is currently running daily $5.50 qualifiers, each of which begins at 20:30 CET. They have been available since the 24th of August and will continue to run all the way until September 7th.
These special qualifying tournaments can be found by selecting the “Tourney” and “Regional” options in the PokerStars software client. Each daily event has a limit of 53 players, so interested parties should be sure to reserve their spot as quickly as possible.
