Last Chance to Win Punta Cana Package

In the last week of the three-week promotion ending September 1, you can still clinch a ticket to the Caribbean to play in the Punta Cana Poker Classic and earn up to $50 in cash bonuses just for trying.

There are three levels of bonuses – $10, $20, and $50 – which can be won by playing in Punta Cana Tournaments and earning poker points. Playing in a tournament and earning 50, 100, or 150 points will earn you these bonuses in that respective order. In addition, with each bonus you will receive entries into the grand prize draw  – one, two, or three – relative to the bonus size.

There is one more way to win entries into the grand prize draw. By referring a friend to the site, in addition to receiving a $100 Refer-a-friend bonus, you will receive an entry into in draw, one per each friend, up to three.

Punta Cana Classic is taking place from November 12 to November 16 in the Dominican Republic. The $5,500 package includes:

Ultimate Poker Releases Major Software Upgrade

When Ultimate Poker first came online in April, the software interface they showed the world was in a very rough-and-ready format: functional, but lacking many features compared to best of the best in business. This was understandable, as the company had made a decision to temporarily sacrifice some of the user-friendliness in order to expedite the entry to the market. Now, in a freshly released Version 2, their platform has made a leap towards offering the “ultimate” playing experience and is expected to attract new players with the upgraded rewards program.

Improvements to the software include crisper graphics, the ability to resize tables, new animated avatars, action signals, new buttons, and better performance. The new version appears to be bug-free and early reviews indicate that the changes are greatly appreciated by the user community.

In addition to the upgrades to the look and feel, Ultimate Poker added new features to its tournament offerings. Late registration is now possible and rebuy tournaments are added. Tournament dollars – the sites own currency known as $U – are now offered to appeal to tournament players.

A new VIP program is also offered. It is called “Color Up” and represents a tiered system resembling Full Tilt’s VIP program where players move up the levels the more points they earn with better rewards coming with each new tier. Current rewards include freeroll entries and cash bonuses up to thousands of dollars.
